Immigration News:
Bill pending in the Senate:
S. 1085 (Reuniting Families Act):
The purpose of this bill is to amend the current
Immigration and Nationality Act to do the
following: recapture immigrant visas lost to
delay, reclassify spouses and minor children of
legal permanent residents as immediate
relatives, relief for orphans, widows, and
widowers, exemption from immigrant visa limit
for certain veterans who are natives of the
Phillipines, fiancee child status protection, equal
treatment for all step-children.
There are several bills pending in the House and
Senate. A listing of the bills will be published
soon.
